This course is the second half of the Microeconomics series. It covers consumer theory, followed by advanced topics in microeconomic theory. In particular, general equilibrium (exchange and production) and uncertainty will be addressed, with discussions on moral hazard and adverse selection.

Upon completing this course, students will acquire the analytical and methodological skills necessary for microeconomics courses at the Master's level. Students will learn new economic concepts, with an emphasis on mathematical aspects and formal notations. A wide range of exercises will be solved in class to equip students with the tools needed to understand economic modeling at a graduate level.
Attendance is mandatory, with a maximum of two absences allowed without a valid excuse. Additional absences must be approved by the administration. Students who are absent during an assessment will receive the lowest possible grade for that assessment.
The course will include lectures, discussions, and analytical/quantitative exercises related to course topics.
Assessment consists in:
- Problem set 1 (25% of the grade)
- Problem set 2 (25%)
- Participation (10%)
- Final exam taking place during the last session (40%).
